Located in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island, the Tortuga Bay is one of the most popular tourist attractions of the Galapagos Island. Separated by a headland of mangroves, there are two beaches at the Tortuga Bay. One of the beach is used mostly for the surfing because of the strong waves and on the other hand second beach is preferred for swimming and just relaxing, since on the west side the water is calm.
Not just for common beach, but Tortuga bay is known for the sea turtle upon which the name of the beach is given. There are also some other animals that can be found such as sea lions, marine iguanas, pelicans, lava gulls and flamingos, etc. These species can be commonly found along the shore of the beaches.
There is one more reason why the Tortuga Bay is famous. This beach is located south-west of the town of Puerto Ayora on the Galapogos Island of Santa Cruz. Thus the sunsets here are seems to be very beautiful and lot people get attracted towards stunning sunset here.
