About Galapagos, Charles Darwin once said, “The natural history of these islands is eminently curious and well deserves attentions…” The Galapagos Island is rich in the wildlife and is a home of many different kinds of species. There are many different kinds of reptiles, birds, mammals and marine species found on the Galapagos Island.
Giant tortoise is the most attractive animal on the island. There are also some Marine Turtles that mates during December-January and lays their eggs in the darkness of night. Existing from 10 million years, the Marine Iguanas are usually seen in the large groups on the lava rock formations. There are also some land Iguanas that feed most of the time with yellow flora and fruits of the island.
Galapagos Penguins can be seen but only at the early morning near by. |
